It began at fifteen.
Brian Duke was just 15 when he began his journey in kitchens. Years of making them by hand gave him a practical understanding of the craft: how furniture goes together, how materials behave, and why the small details matter.
His journey later took him to London and Belgium, before he established Dukes Kitchens in October 2000.
A family business from the very beginning.
Annette joined Brian when Dukes opened in October 2000. Customers still remember her helpfulness and warm welcome. That family spirit remains part of a visit today: a cuppa, warm freshly baked cookies and time to feel at home in the showroom.
When Dukes opened, Brian’s son Oran was 12. Oran learned to use CAD so he could prepare designs for the presentations Brian gave at weekends. Design quickly became part of family life.
Oran went on to train other designers, developing the skills that would bring him into the business full time in 2005.

That connection between practical craftsmanship and design technology still runs through Dukes. Our Live Design service brings you into the process, giving you the chance to see your ideas develop and work through the decisions with your designer.
From your first visit to the finishing touches, the aim is the same: a kitchen that belongs in your home, and works for the way you live.

Dukes Kitchens is a family kitchen business established by Brian Duke in October 2000. Our showroom is at 15 Main Street, Newtowncunningham, County Donegal. Brian’s background in handcrafted kitchens and furniture informs the way we approach the details of a room.
How does the design process work?
Start with an initial consultation to discuss your home, priorities and ideas. Our Live Design service lets you explore layouts and finishes on screen with your designer in the studio. The team will explain the specification, design packages and next steps before you decide.
